Athetics Running

We have learnt to do running. We learnt to put our foot that we write with out in front then when Mrs Head said get set we need to put our opposite arm to our leg up in an L shape. My goal is to stay in my lane when I am running.

Once upon a time there lived a girl named Gemma and her dad named Nathan and dad went to pick his daughter from school at 3:09 and Gemma was out on the verandah and when Gemma sore her dad talking to Gemma’s dad’s friend Eddie and dad was and dad ‘’said’’ how are you Eddie and Eddie said I am fine how about you good and dad said yeah good like always Eddie and then when Mrs Head said you can go I know have a good weekend everyone I gave my teacher a big hug and said bye and me and dad ‘’said’’ Mc donald for dinner Gemma and I said yes please so we got or dinner took it home sand then we ate it and then I went to have a shower and when I was in the shower I heard some music going on and it was my dad putting some music on and I was wonder what was going on there so then I found out  after once I got out of the shower I brushed my teeth and then went back on the coumptuer and then I brushed my hair and then my dad is eating crumpets now then…

I threw in the right direction by looking at my throwing arm.

I achieved throwing further by aiming my arm straighter.

App Review for Pic Collage

Here is my app review for Pic Collage.

App review For Pic Collage

Pic Collage is an app where you can choose the background and layer photos on one page. You can drag photos that you have already saved and then click on the photo and drag it across to where you want it on the page. You can place the photos where ever you want it to be and you can choose as many photos as you want.   

I have used Pic Collage to take photos of Gina’s lamb Timmy coming to school.                                                                                                                                

Pic Collage helps me with my learning because you can take photos of your work and you can see how much you have learnt.

I think Pic Collage should stay on the ipad or ipod because it helps with all your hard learning by showing what you can do now and how much you have learnt.

Next time I use Pic Collage I am going to try and use it at the end of each term to show my favourite things about that term and all of my hard learning in Room 9.

The cross country race in placing number ^13th and that is Gemma

On Friday it was the day to get puffed out and it was cross country day yah all of the kids ‘’said’’ and first it was the 5 year olds first and in the five year olds the first kid that came first it was Aimee.

Then it was the 6 year olds that came first and the first kid to come first was Molly.

Then it was 7 year olds and the first kid to come first was Poppy.

Then it was the eight  year olds and the first kid to come first was   Leagh.

Once in a far away island there lived a train called Thomas the tank engine and one day Thomas had 100 people on his train. Then he had to stop because his engine broke down and all the people said what happened here? Then Thomas said to everyone “my engine broke down and now we are stuck in the middle of town.” Then a boy hopped off the train and spoke to Thomas. He said “I can fix your train.” The boy fixed it straight away and Thomas said thank you. When Thomas looked at himself he said wow “how did you do that in just four minutes.”

Evidence of achieving my maths goals

My maths goals are to get faster at answering my basic facts.

These pictures show that I am getting faster at answering my basic facts and I am achieving my goal. My score has dropped a little bit but I got a harder test. My first four tests asked addition and subtraction questions but my next test asked addition, subtraction, multiplication and division questions.





To show my working and be able to explain how I work out a problem.

My last maths goal is to use my doubles and tidy tens to add and subtract. I have achieved this goal and am now using my doubles to help work out my times tables. I double my two times tables to work out my four times tables 2x4=8 so 4x4=16 so 8x4=32 so this is how I worked it out you need to double 16 so 16+16=32.

My reading goals are to extend my vocabulary to know what more words mean.

This is still one of my goals because I got the same score in my STAR test. I got 6/10 I want to try and get a better score next time.

To share my ideas about the text with my group.

I am starting to share a few more of my ideas but I need to think carefully about what I am reading so that I can answer more.

To confidently answer questions about the story especially inference questions.
I am still working hard on this goal to try and answer questions about the story I have just read. Sometimes I need to slow down because I can read really quickly but I have to listen to what I am reading so that I can answer the questions.

My last reading goal is to match the picture to the word.

This shows that I got 10/10 and doubled my score from the beginning of the year, so I am reading carefully to check the picture and the word.

My writing goals are to use tidy handwriting.

My handwriting is getting tidier at handwriting time. Now my goal is to make it tidy at writing time as well.

To add more describing words to my writing.
I am still working on adding more adjectives to my writing I am going to try and add them in when I am proof reading to make my writing more interesting to read.

To use capital letters and full stops.

This is still my learning goal because I did not find any capital letters I only found a couple of full stops in my whole writing book. From now on I am going to go back and proof read after every sentence I write to help me remember to use my full stops and capital letters.                                                                      

Start using question marks, exclamation marks and speech marks in my writing.

I need to start using question marks and exclamation marks and speech marks in my writing book.   I haven't achieved my goal because when I look back in my reading book I can not find any work that shows using speech marks and question marks and speech marks and exclamation marks. I can proof read my work and add them in when I proof read.

My last writing goal is to start using language features like similes in my writing.

I am starting to use similes in my writing. Here is an example where I have compared my heart to a roaring train using the word 'like.' And running 'as' fast as a lightening bolt.

Learning my 2 times and divided by.

I know that I can use my doubles to help me work out my two times and I can use my two times to work out my divided by.

What is Culture?

Mrs Head asked us what is culture and we could show her using anyway we wanted. I choose to do a glogster.

Room 9 Assembly

At the start I liked standing for the National Anthem. I felt nervous and happy because my dad came and watched me at the assembly. I liked it when we did our Doodledum Dancing. I liked the music to it and when Mrs Head said 5 6 7 8 then we started to dance.

The wow vist

At the start of the museum I liked watching the video and learning about the costumes. I like the cool shapes and colours.  My  favourite one is the love of Icrus because I thought it was a girl in side but it was a boy because it has white around it. Also it was fun going to the museum my favourite thing was making the costumes. Ella put the hat on her head also me and Kayley helped to make the hat. What I have enjoyed so far

What I have enjoyed so far is swimming because I like using a flutter board and floating on my back. I like being able to join everyone else now that my cast is off.
What I am looking forward to is doing my maths and learning my times tables.

Fractions-maths

Swimming

I am proud of swimming with my arms with a flutter board and gliding across to the other side and gliding back again.
I want to work on keeping my arms straight with out a flutter board.

my goal this year for reading is to go home and get my book out of my school bag and read it until it is finished.
My writing goal is not to talk to other chilidren and get my work done.
My maths goal is to do my answers right and to show my working.
